Lost in NZ

Here's some of my first sightseeing in NZ, it's pretty random but getting here I got to see some of the landscape. Can't quite remember what this actually is though.

A trip to Waiheke Island to see some artwork scattered across a relaxed trail.

The right hand side artwork is by an artist related to the friend I was visiting in NZ.

I couldn't get enough of the scenery throughout the trip.

Moody Wellington. Although it wasn't as moody as this photo suggests (or as windy as people might say, I got lucky!)

The Museum of New Zealand, or Te Papa as it's called. An incredible exhibition by the wizards at Weta about the Gallipoli campaign at World War 1. These dioramas were larger than life.

Quite the lovely museum to walk around and spend a day in.

You might recognise this spot from some film called Lord of the Rings.

Taking the train back from Wellington to Auckland was quite the experience. A 12 hour journey that seemed to fly by faster than any 12 hour plane journey that I've been on. Beautiful views throughout.

Couldn't make my way to NZ without taking a pilgrimige to the Shire.

I left NZ wishing I could have spent another month exploring the incredible nature, 2 weeks barely scratched the surface and only the North Island at that. There'll be another trip to explore the South Island one day so I'll only say see you later NZ rather than goodbye.
